Born on the 2nd of December, 1981, in Cape Town South Africa Lesley-Ann Brandt is an actor and model well known for her appearances in both movies and television shows. After beginning her acting career with the New Zealand sitcom Diplomatic Immunity Brandt's American debut came with her first role as Naevia in the historical drama Spartacus: Blood and Sand. The actress was featured on several shows in the last decade and included in them Spartacus: Gods of the Arena CSI: NY Single Ladies The Librarians and Spartacus: Gods of the Arena. Brandt portrays the role of Mazikeen in the show based on urban fantasy Lucifer with Tom Ellis Lauren German Kevin Alejandro. Brandt is originally from Cape Town South Africa, and then was able to move with her parents Auckland New Zealand in late in her adolescence. Brandt began her modeling career by appearing in advertisements as well as in print ads. Before her rise to fame as a model she worked in the field of retail sales and also served as an information technology recruitment consultant. The first time she was featured, she landed her performance in the year 2009 on the New Zealand sitcom Diplomatic Immunity in which she played the role as Leilani Fa'auigaese. Her first major appearance came in 2021 as she played the character of slave-girl Naevia for the Starz series Spartacus: Blood and Sand. The role of Naevia was also reprised by her in the Spartacus miniseries Spartacus Gods of the Arena. Craig Parker and she co-starred in three television shows, Diplomatic Immunity (2009), Spartacus (2010), and Legend of the Seeker (2008). The year 2016 saw her started to play the role of a bounty hunter named Mazikeen on the Netflix show Lucifer. Her biggest role is in this role. The show is paired with Tom Ellis Lauren French Kevin Alejandro D. B. Woodside.

An extremely successful career in journalism makes it seem like the woman was always destined to pursue a career in journalism. Maria when she was young was not sure of her career choice. In the beginning, Maria would have liked to sing. In the end, she chose to pursue interior designer. Once she discovered the thrills and excitement journalistic work, she had nothing she could do but go. This feisty woman isn't just an excellent journalist but she is also an example for women who are aspiring to make their mark in a dominated market. The award was given to her as one of the fifty Faces who Shaped the Decade she also was the first ever female journalist to be recognized in the Cable Hall of Fame.
